Messages Speech and Language Therapy Services can assist with the assessment and treatment of school-aged children with communication difficulties.
Communication difficulties could involve one or more of the following:
- speech sound production or articulation
- spoken or expressive language (words, sentences and story telling)
- understanding or receptive language (words, following instructions)
- literacy skills including reading (decoding and comprehension), spelling and written language
- social skills needed to interact with others
